Where are you located?
I am located in beautiful Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, just north of the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia.

Do you have a studio?
I do not have a studio. All of my sessions are held on location in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.

What type of photography do you do?
I do custom lifestyle photography for families, newborns, infants, children, couples, expectant parents and pets. Or really anyone willing to step in front of my camera! I also do branding portraits and small, special event photography, such as birthday,
engagement, anniversary parties, etc. Local elopements and microweddings may be available upon special request.

When do you typically schedule sessions?
In order to offer all of my clients the time and attention their investment deserves, I am only available for a limited number
of sessions each month. Most sessions are held on the weekends, but I'm also available during the week. Clients usually book their sessions 4-6 weeks in advance.

When is the best time of the day for a session?
The best time for a session depends on a number of factors such as location, time of year and weather. In general, the best natural lighting for an outdoor session is 2 hours before sunset and 1-2 hours after sunrise. Indoor sessions are best done around noon - 3:00 pm. However, I definitely understand that a lot of parents prefer to do their sessions earlier in the day or right after nap time to catch their children when they are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I can definitely work around any time frame that suits your specific needs.

How far do you travel for sessions and is there a fee?
Most of my sessions are held in or around Philadelphia, the surrounding suburbs and South Jersey. On occasion, if I'm traveling to a certain area (I often travel to Florida numerous times during the year), I will take clients that live in those areas if there is an interest. But since I'm a busy working mom myself, it makes traveling for shoots a bit difficult. Although man, it would be nice!
For local sessions, there is a fee for travel 25 miles outside of the 19046 zip code.

What if we need to reschedule a session?
Life happens. Sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate or little ones get sick. Please do not forge ahead with the session if your child is ill. He will not be happy and every time you see the photos you will only remember how sick he was that day. Instead we will work together to reschedule at a date that works for both of us. If there is inclement weather the day of the shoot, I will contact you the day before or morning of to talk about either moving the session indoors or rescheduling. Overcast weather will not be rescheduled, as that actually produces some of the best soft lighting for photography.

What if my house is too messy and dark for an in-home session?
Oh, you mean like my house?
Trust me, I get it. No worries at all. Once we determine the best spot in your home for optimal lighting, we can move toys around, open up curtains, hide piles of laundry, and even relocate furniture if needed.

What should I wear?
Style is so subjective. First and foremost, it should be comfortable and make you feel confident and true to who you are. You may have seen a gorgeous photo on Pinterest of a bohemian mom in a cute floppy hat and a flowing maxi dress and thought, "I want that to be me!" But is it you? If yes, then go for it! If not, go for jeans, Vans, and a flannel shirt. You do you, baby! If you would like to discuss ideas about styling for your session, I'm happy to help!

Other than that, some other tips include:
For groups and couples, coordinate but don't match.

Start with one outfit (usually Mom's) and style everyone else around it.

Mix patterns, fabrics and textures, which always photograph well.

Dress for the weather, especially the kids.

Layering is great for variety and visual interest, especially in the cooler months.

Accessorize! If you love chunky jewelry or fun hats, please wear them!

Professional hair and makeup may not be your thing in real life, but photographs beautifully.

Make sure your clothes fit properly and don't bunch oddly or ride up when you are crouching, walking, sitting, etc.

Check clothes and sweaters for holes, stains and pilling.

Vibrant colors on children are always a good way to bring out their personality as well as their bright eye colors.

Avoid large logos, words, thin stripes or animated characters on clothing.

Keep kids comfortable and happy. Dress them in something you won't mind getting a little dirty if they are running and playing.

Shoes can make or break an outfit for kids and adults. Above all, make sure they are comfortable and clean.

Can we do a clothing change during a session?
Of course! I encourage it, especially for babies or kids. We can discuss styling ideas for clothing before the session if you
would like more help.

I know you photograph a lot of kids, but I’m warning you, my children will not sit still or look at the camera. Do you think you can still get good photos of them?
I have been taking photos of children for over 19 years and have seen it all. Trust me, your kids are perfectly normal. We’ll get good beautiful photos of them. They may not all be looking at the camera or sitting and smiling perfectly, (who's kid does that?) but they'll be perfect because they will capture your child’s personality as it truly is. Lifestyle photography is all about honesty.
The most important aspect is to reveal the soul of the subject, their unique personalities and the relationship with their loved
ones, not just a perfect smile or pose.

Can you photoshop my...(insert random thing you think is awful but in reality is perfect)?
Ok. First of all, stop! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
We all have our hangups. I get it. But you are amazing, gorgeous and original, and you deserve to be honored just as you are. All final images delivered to you in your proofing gallery are carefully edited for lighting, color, tone and basic skin blemishes, scratches, cuts, etc. that are not normally there. But in general, my editing style is about creating an honest document of your reality. I do not alter clothing, body size or shape but make every attempt to shoot in a way that's flattering to everyone. If there is something that you would like that is beyond the normal edit, it can be arranged for an additional fee.

How long will it take to see my photos?
A few days after the session, I will post a sneak peek of 1-3 images on Facebook and/or Instagram. After that, all final, edited images (usually 20-50 images depending on the portrait session) will be provided in a private, password-protected gallery for viewing, sharing and ordering within 2 weeks.

Do you offer the purchase of digital images?
Yes. All of my sessions are all-inclusive, meaning, all of the final, edited images, presented to you in your gallery, are yours to keep!

Do you offer unedited RAW files from my session for purchase?
No. RAW or unedited images are never available for purchase.

How long will it take to get my prints once I place my order?
Please allow 2-3 weeks after placing your final order on all prints and wall art. For custom designed portrait albums,
please allow 3-4 weeks from time of finaI approval.

Do you offer gallery wrapped canvases or framed prints?
I do. Please contact me for a full product and price list.

Can you help me create a gallery layout for wall art in my home?
Absolutely! If you have a wall in your home that you would like to fill with art from your session, but don’t know where to start,
I offer custom gallery design, with a mockup of your space, for an additional fee.
