When Marissa contacted me for a graduation photo session at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), I was thrilled. Marissa is a licensed marriage and family therapist, certified sex therapist, and founder of IntimacyMoons, which offers therapy experiences for couples and individuals to reclaim and enhance their emotional connection and intimacy. Marissa wanted to document this important milestone – a master’s degree in education and entrepreneurship from UPenn – with her family by her side. I was honored that she reached out to me all the way from Washington DC to work with her. I’m always so excited for the opportunity to work with fearless and accomplished women.

It was graduation day on Penn’s campus, and we could not have had more gorgeous weather. Marissa came armed with some fabulous outfits for both a professional and playful vibe, as well as her hype crew – her beautiful daughter, mother, and husband – who were happy to tag along and get in a few photos with her. 

Marissa knew all the hot spots on campus and exactly where she wanted to go. She had all her ideas planned out, which we had discussed prior to meeting, and it made for a very fun and smooth session together. I truly had a great time spending the afternoon with her and her family. She was a natural in front of the camera, and we laughed the entire time.
